Chaka Khan

Chaka also known as Queen of Funk as she is also called is an American record producer. She has been awarded 10 Grammys during her career spanning over fifty years. Also, she has been ranked as the 65th most successful dance artist of all time according to Billboard magazine. Born in Chicago, Illinois and introduced to jazz at an early age by her mother. At the beginning of her career, she performed with various bands. She later joined a band that was named Rufus. Together with the group, she recorded her first album in her 20s. A year later, the group received their very first Grammy. Then, a few years later, she was able to make her debut as a solo artist, and released her first self-titled album. After that, she released numerous albums over the years, like 'Echoes from an Era', 'The Woman I Am', and "Funk This.". In addition to her musical contribution, her charity work has brought her lots of attention. She founded The Chaka Khan Foundation to help children from poor families, along with people with autism. Khan has also been a protracted actress. She was the character Sister Carrie on stage in musical "Mama I'm a Singing Lady.' Chaka Chaka Chaka
